Abrasive Sand Blast
sand blasting or water jetting?
Ive got thirteen 40ft by 10 ft by 8 ft conex boxes(like the type you see on semi trucks) I need to strip them of paint and rust and get them primed and painted do you think I should use
A.) dry abrasive blast cleaning , what are the pros and con
B.) water jet cleaning , pros and cons
C.)water jet with added abrasive, pros and cons
Will water jetting completly remove all rust, I have seen pictures of steel structures still rather rusty but I dont know the details behind these pictures
Right now Im leaning towards dry abrasive simply because I know it will work but, If the water method were to work as well it seems like it might be more cost effective and easier to use.
rust is caused by water,so dry shot blasting is the best option, if you use the water jet, it will defiantly clean and strip the paint and rust BUT the surface is now wet and rust will start again before you could dry it to paint
