As a drill, a screw?

I find all the simple machines in a drill and I think the drill is a screw. I do not know why is it a screw, but I saw it online. I just screws things held together? Here is the definition of a screw: a simple machine, a spiral inclined plane wrapped around a cylinder. It keeps things together ..

This is a good definition, if you stop set. "Screw" is the form not the function, although in daily use, we do use it to signify this type of attachment. A drill is definitely a screw through the definition of form, although "spade" bits are shaped more like an arrowhead in the plane wave.
