Bit Set Woodworking
Woodworking: a gift?
So, I had originally decided to start my friend a nice toolset to. Now I've dug a little bit deeper, only to find what he really is interested, woodworking. He wants to build in a position to put imagination and details about things such as tables, chairs, Shelves … like. We both live in apartments, until we are married, and neither of us have a garage or anything, so start my set for him to be small. What is a great first tool or more tools that everyone should have a carpenter? What will be most useful, and what should I avoid? I have a gift for him for Christmas received this year, but our anniversary is coming up, like Valentine's Day as his birthday … so many ideas would be great! Please tell me specifically what for; how much should it cost, what is the best / worst brand, look and go wherever I can to get it (I'm in Michigan … we have at home Depot, Lowes … and. .. I think that's it). Thanks guys!
Did he really have no tools, I would suggest a cordless drill as the first. You want one that with two batteries is so you can be charging while the other one. This is more of a craftsman tool, not only for wood but it's probably all the tool maker the whole time. I like the Dewalt 18V drill. The DeWalt DC759KA is probably at your local HD or Lowes. It comes with 2 batteries and a charger. Other accessories would Bits are a series of drills and an assortment of screwdrivers. Makita and Milwaukee are also good brands. Stay away from the Black & Decker and Skil, they are "the cheap consumer lines, and they will not last. If you buy cheap tools, you will regret it.
