Asphalt Blades
Versatility and ease of use are what allow all utility contractors, sawing and drilling specialists to buy asphalt concrete blades. These blades are scientifically engineered for maximum performance when cutting asphalt and asphalt over concrete roadways.
Asphalt Blades with Undercut Protection
Asphalt Diamond Blades come laser welded, u-slot gullets with heavy duty core and undercut protection. They are ideal for cutting abrasive materials with increased performance and longevity. They are typically the best choice when it comes to making clean and professional cuts.
Core features of Asphalt Blades

Safety precautions
The following is a list of safety practices that must be pursued when using asphalt diamond blades on diamond saws:
- Keep the area around the saw free from debris which could cause falls.
- Prohibit the use of the saw by unauthorized or untrained person.
- Keep the conveyor cart free of grit and debris which could allow the material to slip or twist during cutting operations.
- Hold the material firmly against the backstop of the conveyor cart or guide-a-cut, keeping fingers out of the path of the blade.
- Position the saw on a firm, flat area and be sure that the saw will not move in use.
Contractors Concerns
Concrete contractors are mostly concerned about cracking issues. Often, the first thing heard from the prospective client is-Will it crack? That is when you launch into an explanation about control cuts, imprinting joints; cutting designs and whether the blades function appropriately that minimize random cracking. The slanted drop segments of asphalt blades protect the blade periphery from undercutting but also act as a cutting segment. This feature allows the blade to cut faster, leaving behind any cracking and cutting concerns.
To have all the benefits of asphalt blades one must go for selecting the right blade for the job at hand. You will find hundreds of blades on the market to suit just about every type of asphalt and concrete application, but no one blade is perfect for all projects. Even worse, using the wrong blade or applying it improperly can ruin an otherwise flawless asphalt job.
