Brite Sanding
I’m going to paint the interior of my cavalier?
now i’m just doing plastics, so are these the right steps/ have any tips?
1) remove parts from car.
2) remove dirt and grease(dawn dish soap?)
3) Scuff up the panel with scotch brite pad(or should i use sand paper, and should i remove stock paint first?)
(do i need to primer?)
4) spray color, let dry, spray color, let dry, several coats
5) clear coat, clear coat, done
Don’t scratch the plastic, the scratches will show through after you paint. Go to an automotive store and get paint that is meant for painting plastics. It adhears without scratching it. They have plastic paint primer too and if you use the right paint you don’t need to clear coat it.
