Squealing sound when drilling screw into wood?
Sometimes when I’m using a screw gun (cordless drill, pneumatic hand drill) the wood makes this weird squealing shrieking sound. What causes this? Am I stripping the screw?
The wood is very hard and resisting the entering of the screw. Sounds like the wood is close to splitting.
