All You Need To Know About GBC’s Premium Oval Hole Spiral Coil Crimpers

In a simple and single motion, these crimping pliers both cut the ends off the coil and crimp the ends, leaving you with a functional and durable document that is also attractive in the spiral coils style.
If you work with a coil binding machine that uses oval holes, you can’t afford to be without these pliers, as the ones that you use with your other machines will not produce a long enough crimp to keep the coil on the book. While they are great for 4:1 and 5:1 round hole spiral coil binding, standard pliers will not get the job done with oval holes. The GBC premium crimpers will do a great job with those pitches as well as more specialized ones as well, so if you have a pair of the premiums, you won’t have to have any other pliers stored or sitting around the production floor.
These crimpers are designed for speed and ease of use as well. With the plastic coated handles, you can be sure that you will always have a good grip, and that they will never slip in your hand. Like most other crimping pliers, these are designed with a hands red dot that indicates of you are using them correctly. Just remember to face the book’s spine toward you and point the red dot toward the ceiling, and you know you are doing it right.
Long story short, if you do any binding in the spiral coil style with a punch that produces an oval hole, these pliers are not a luxury, but are in fact absolutely necessary. These pliers will simply make your binding life a whole lot easier, and help create for you a better finished product. This also goes for 0.400 or 3:1 pitch patterns as well.
