Decker Mouse Sander
Black and Decker mouse sander – advice needed please?
I have a mouse sander which I bought for doing work in small places where my larger machine won’t fit. Specifically, I have used the attachments as shown in the video on www.blackanddecker.com.
The design of the sander is perfect for what I need, but unfortunately I have broken 4 of them. Each has lasted only about 2 hours. The fault is that the plastic base fractures so that the diamond shaped point breaks away. All of them have broken in the same way.
I live in New Zealand and the model I purchased was made in China. Clearly the materials used in the manufacture are inferior.
The store has been very good and replaced each one but today they told me that they cannot keep doing this. I am in the middle of a job and can’t find any other tool that will work.
I am wondering if all these sanders are made in China or whether those supplied to other parts of the world may be manufactured elsewhere and use better quality raw materials. If so, I would like to know where to get one. Thanks
Black and decker are trash tools to start with..I owned of the mouses too for doing detail sanding..life span..1 week..I have had problems with any black and decker product I ever purchased..some may not have..but they probably have used them only once or twice..for a long lasting tool..do not get black and decker
