What role do the manufacturers (Chevy, Dodge, Ford, Toyota) play in the construction of each car in NASCAR?
For example, does the setup of Monte Carlo SS used in NASCAR have any real similarities to a Monte Carlo SS that can be purchased by an average person? Same for a Toyota Camry? (when I hear the words “Toyota Camry”, speed is not the first thing i think about!)
The cars are built to Nascar specs by the teams. There is not one part similar to a chev SS or camry other than the light and grill decals.
