need help for understanding?
1) Use “GB GFI-501A” receptacle tester
2) Plug the GB GFI-501A tester into receptacle
A) Check we have the correct lights on (two amber lights)
B) Push the black ground fault button on the GB GFI-501A receptacle tester
a) GFCI receptacle should fault
what does “GFCI receptacle should fault ” mean? and what is a ” receptacle “?

A receptacle is an electrical power socket (the “female” connector).
A ground fault receptacle is one with a built-circuit breaker that cuts the supply if it detects any current leaking to ground (i.e. earth).
The process here is testing that the circuit breaker works.
You plug the tester into the socket. Pressing the black button causes a deliberate ground fault (i.e. a “short-circuit”). If all is well, the “GFCI receptacle should fault” – that is, it should cut the power supply as it is supposed to.
