Ice Melter
A dozen or so of these “pills” in my backyard. I’m worried that they may poison my dog.?
There is some snow and ice in my backyard. They are white, powdery when you crush them, and slightly larger than my thumbnail. Are they some type of snow/ice melter that someone threw in my yard? I have a picture, but I’m not sure how to upload it.
It sort of looks like cheap water softener pellets. I’ve seen folks in a pinch toss that out to melt ice on the sidewalks. If I were you I’d call or better yet take them to the nearest pharmacy and ask them what it is. they’ll be able to better identify it than anyone here will. Hope you got them all out of the yard.
