Removal of white insulated staples on romex?
Does anyone know an easy way to remove the white insulated staples from romex? I need to move many wires and a screwdriver seems to cut into the wires. Thank you
It depends upon the staple. If it is wide enough then you will need a tool to get under the staple and alongside the wire. You could even “nail” a screwdriver into the wood under the staple and pry. If the staple is tight on the sides and top of the wire you will have to lift everything. Trash the wood. Use a wide flat screwdriver and dig into the wood under the wire and the staple. Then pry. It will probably work better with a small fulcrum like another screwdriver. A small flat prybar will also work.
