Laser Socket
my lower left leg comes off the socket if i bend leg too far!!?
I had a motorbyke crash 8 years ago. My lower leg was caught under the bike and was twisted 180 degrees around the knee (ouch). The Doctors said it was a bursitis in the rotulian tendon, whatever that is. Back then i did physio and laser therapy and all sorts off stuff. every nowand then the leg will either bend sideways ( double ouch) or will snap out of the socket with a click sound. The latter aint that painfull and returns to place straight away. I go to the gym regularly and try to execise the related muscles, but i still get the symptoms and i dont trust that dodgy leg of mine! What can i do? Am i going to be a cripple?
I’ve been to the doctor a few months ago. he hardly looked at it and told me to go to the gym. I did! I still have the problem : (
I agree with the others, you need a second opinion. It sounds like you are describing an unstable knee and its possible that you have ligament and/or cartilage damage.
My advice to you would be to see a physiotherapist/physical therapist who specializes in musculo skeletal conditions. If you are in the UK you can find a physio from the chartered society of physiotherapy website www.csp.org.uk. They will do a full exam and should be able to identify the structures involved.
There is a chance you may be referred for surgery if it is ligaments/cartilage but the only way to find out for sure is to get it re examined by an expert.
