Propane Generator
can you converet a new briggs and stratton engine from gasoline to propane?
i just purchased a new generator for emergency power backup that has a briggs and stratton engine on it. is there a conversion kit that will change it from running on regular gasoline to propane so that i can hook it up to my house propane tank?
most likely………you will need the [model,type,& code]#s……..labled on the blower housing of the engine. go to your nearest power equiptment distributor……..tell them what you want to do………….they will tell you what you need to change……carb.& fuel tank go……may have to change a valve or two………may have to alter timing…….replace carbureator with a L.P.gas valve…………………not too hard if your mechanically inclined!
