Dry Ice Blasting – An Overview
Dry Ice Blasting (Also known as CO2 blasting ) is a relatively new cleaning process using solid CO2 pellets (known as dry ice). It is used mainly for industrial use in a variety of applications. The pellets sublimate (convert directly from a solid blast pellet to a vapor (CO2) residue. The method superior sandblasting, glass bead blasting and other types of cleaning methods for numerous reasons (see chart below).
Today, the dry cleaning process for quickly promoted to protect the environment as well as technical reasons. Because of tremendous environmental regulations, the industry needed to minimize waste. There is also a growing awareness that many now rank in the global environmental impact of their production processes. What is Dry Ice?

The process

Benefits of Dry Ice Blasting Technology

Typical cleaning procedures require that equipment be disassembled and moved to an assigned area for proper Cleaning. This is not the case with dry ice blasting. Benefit # 2 – quick and thorough cleaning
