Satellite Internet connections are capable of very high transfer speeds, many times faster than dialup connections. In addition, these connections are more reliable than dialup. In fact, because they are always on, you never have to worry about connecting to the Internet; you just open your browser and go where you want. Your email works in the same manner. Who can use satellite Internet connections? Of course, rural residents with few other options are the primary beneficiaries of this technology. However, outlying businesses can also use this technology to great effect. In addition, consumers with access to DSL or cable connections turn to satellite Internet connections as well.
