Can anyone tell me the young modulus of “tamahagane” (steel used in blades)?

I know for steel its between 190 and 210 GPa but can anyone give me a more specific value for tamahagane?

The Young’s modulus will be the same as that of ANY other carbon steel.I don’t know the SI units for the modulus,but all carbon steels will have same value(because it is a measure of the inter electronic attraction between iron atoms;and nothing else).Black sand is probably powdered magnetite(Fe3O4).The great property of the blades is their resistance to fracture and thus is due to a bamboo like structure brought about by repeated folding and beating of the hot metal on an anvil.The layered structure means that small cracks cannot grow to a critical size because the crystal struture is not continuous.That type of structure was also typical of wrought iron; the main structural material in Isambard Kingdom Brunel’s bridges.
