need help choosing a pistol for my 21st b-day?

well im 13. but my dad lets me shoot all of his guns and ive become very fond of the Springfield Armory 1911 – A1 .45ACP but, i also like the para ordnance super hawg 1911. i have never shot the para but i do like the overall style and the good reviews. please give me ur input. =]

My personal opinion is that now-a-days there aren’t any bad weapons. Which one someone likes has mainly to do with how it fits their hands, ease of concealability, and the psychological mindset that suggests that expensive is always better.
I’ve always been a fan of 1911’s too. They just seem to really fit my hand. I’m also a fan of the HK USP series. My favorite weapon however is the Para Ordnance LDA in .45. Give it a try. It’s a really sweet gun.
