Second on the assessments
This past weekend I had the opportunity to VR STR8-FIT driver to the area to give it a test drive. On Sunday I went on the driving range at my local course Stone Creek Golf Club and met the new VR-driver with the driver I currently use the SQ Sumo. The day before I had gone to my local PGA superstore to the SQ Dymo Hit refresh again STR8-FIT my memory about the properties of these drivers, and gives a few stats from the simulator. All three driver 10.5 degrees loft and a stiff flex warehouse Wave. I hit about 50 range balls with the new VR-area drivers with three angle settings – space, open and closed 1 degree 1 degree. I hit a dozen balls with each setting. Here I share the results of my test and my opinions of the VR STR8-FIT driver
First impression: DESIGN / APPEARANCE
Out of the box first impression of the VR STR8-FIT is a traditional audio visual equipment. The classic pear shape of the head is a step back from the court directed the design SQ MACH SPEED, and the slight edge to the trailing edge of the crown in a subtle manner reminiscent of the Powerbow the previous driver designs. A beautiful and durable metallic black paint job includes the crown, and a glossy finish on the crown back after two years of a matte finish on the SQ and SQ Dymo 5000.
The sole of the club, the red, the compression Channel, located just behind the front edge of the clubface, and returns to its trailing edge. FIRST impression: PERFORMANCE
The first turns on the field gave me a feeling of power in this driver. The shaft is about an inch longer than that in my SQ Sumo, so that alone gave me confidence that I have the ball continue beating. The weighting of the head relative to the shaft and grip felt ( Nike Victory Red Tour Driver) is comfortable to me, has the head is not too difficult or too easy for the end of the shaft during the swing and the club makes a nice swoosh sound (no pun determined) by the clubface.
There are a lot of technology in this driver and we know that the lie angle and face in 32 different combinations set given me more confidence in the club. After the meeting, only a few balls, I felt that I was better on my drives, and to know the optimized association be made to fit what's going on in my swing on a given day (one of the main advantages that I think an average golfer like me from the Leisure adjustability can get) gave me more confidence in my swing and the assurance I was able to keep the ball in play.
Readjustable
The STR8-FIT system makes the club easy to adjust. The key that comes with the club, is user-intuitive, and it only takes a few laps to loosen and remove the nut and the head. Markings on the head and shaft collars make it easy to carry in a head position setting positions of the 32, and grooves in the plastic piece at the end of the shaft in the head Position. Tightening the nut is easy, and the key will beep when the mother is dense (the key is a battery-powered sensor in it).
The 32 positions face to make these drivers ideal for better, which can take full advantage of adjustability to the driver to select specific swing tendencies. The Face can be adjusted in 0.25-degree increments, and the lie angle adjustment from vertical to flat (not sure if the degree here). For the average recreational golfer whose momentum is not as consistent (I speak for myself here), this could amount and accuracy of the adjustment a little bit more than he or she really needs – but I think the real advantage here is that on any given day you can rake in a certain negative swing tendencies, which happens in the warm-up session, are counteracting. If on the field before the round cut, or hooking the ball a few quick turns of the key and help you to straighten your drives for each day can (not permitted per USGA rules, players adapt to the club during the game).
I think the end result is a greater sense of confidence in your swing in a given round of golf – when the club will help you feel the ball a bit straighter, I think you're more apt to be free and with more Confidence to swing.
