fly tying tools question?

ok i don’t know the name of these tools but its a glue or something that you dip the fly in so when you put it in the water it doesn’t collapse on its self im sure its not head cement. then there is a tool not a vise but it has foam on it so can attach the fly to and it rotates so it does not drop and dry in that direction what is the name of those tools

You’re speaking of epoxy(30-minute) which is used to seal flies (usually saltwater use) then rotates at 4-18 RPM’s, it’s called a Fly/jig dryer, which started life as a Jig dryer.

You can build your own Fly/jig dryer corded or cordless with any size foam, large cork stopper, packing foam, synthetic material, for the wheel. Just make sure the motor rotates below 6-RPM if you are just starting out, example grill rotisserie motor. You will also need scrap wood/nails and be sure to nail or bolt in place if you use a large foam wheel.
