Wheel Walking Tape

is this a good diet plan?
i am trying to lose some weight around my mid section and my thighs. i do walk for about an hour which includes a walk twice a day up a huge hill. I also have started a tae bo tape. i want to know whether this food plan will work for my goal. if anyone can help me fix it if needed or just let me know if you think this will work that would be greatly appreciated.
BREAKFAST
-Light yogurt
-english muffin or a slice of toast
-glass of orange juice or water
MORNING SNACK
-baby carrots (about 5)
-rice cake
-stick of cheese ( colby jack, string or a baby bel wheel)
LUNCH
-light soup
-saltine crackers
-juice (vegetable or fruit??)
EVENING SNACK
celery and peanut butter
DINNER
-turkey chicken or ham sandwich with avocado instead of mayo. tomato and lettuce
-scoop of brown rice
OR
-chicken breast
-scoop of brown rice
-cherry tomato’s (about 10)
-slice of wheat bread

Overall doesn’t look bad. I’d lose the saltine crackers at lunch (they are basically salt, white flour, and shortening). Just make sure you eat plenty of lean protein, fruits and veggies, whole grain products (for your complex carbs), healthy fats (like your avacado!) and drink lots of water.
Keep your calories above 1200 a day (what level is best for you will vary)…and shoot for 4 – 6 small meals versus 3 larger ones (which it seems you’re doing). The source site has a ‘daily calorie needs’ calculator if you look at the links on the left of that page. It will tell give you an est of your needs based on your current size and activity level.
Remember, you cannot target weight loss. You might want to lose weight around your middle and thighs, but it’ll come off from all over your body. Be patient as it may take a while for your problem areas to look as you desire…also don’t forget strength training exercises to firm your muscles so nothing jiggles (and the more muscle you have, the faster your metabolism).
